Over and above, there are such activities as live comedy shows, murder mystery evenings, and various wine tasting events to keep you entertained during your stay.

Stellenbosch

Home to the famous wine routes and a world-class university, Stellenbosch is an idyllic town located in the south of the Western Cape. Take a tour with friends and hop onto the Franschhoek wine trail. Try out some cheeses and wine and explore the cellars of award-winning South African brands. If you are one with more of an adventurous spirit then mountain bike tours covering famous trails is an option to start the day off with before winding down with a Van Loveren merlot.

The Kruger National Park

Probably one of the most iconic locations in Southern Africa, this National Park is the ultimate stop for anyone touring the continent. If ever there was a time in the year to spot the famous Big Five then the winter season is your best chance. Members of the Big Five are more likely to be seen strolling around during the cooler and dryer times of the year.

Durban

With its subtropical climate, Durban remains one of the most visited locations during the festive season with yearly record-breaking numbers attending the beaches and local hot spots. So what is it like during its off-peak winter duration? Surprisingly, much the same minus the crowds. Durban's winters boast a crisp but warm-season during this period with temperate conditions and sunny days. A visit to the Umhlanga promenade, Ballito's Salt Rock, or the Margate's shiny waters is an all-season event.
