While 80% of the population speak native Xhosa, you will find a variety of enclaves speaking both English and Afrikaans. The region's main exports come in the forms of the automotive industry, agriculture, and, of course, international interest in the forms of tourism.
Beyond its growing economy, the province is one of the most diverse and eclectic in the country with locals and travel directories eager to share stories about Xhosa kings, early settlers, battles and cultural exchanges.
