River Club is an area located in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg and lies between Bryanston & Sandton. The area offers residential estates, freehold properties as well as sectional title developments. River Club is ideally located to all the main arterial routes, allowing easy commuting to Sandton CBD. River Club was originally part of the Driefontein Farm, established in the 1840s. By the turn of the century it was owned by a German family, Adolf & Elsa Wilhelmi, who despite being exiled during the Boer War returned to their land which they then rented. They remained on the land until the 1990's with their seven children.
